About Me

Hi I’m Matthew Allen, and Obsidian Bureau is my blog that as it says covers “An eclectic collection of visual and aural beauty, inspiration and admiration.” I’m a Graphic designer that likes minimalist design for graphics, objects and architecture. I live in Auckland, New Zealand, and run my own boutique brand studio called Mata Limited.

You may notice that there is a variety of themes here, design, typography, architecture, beauty, objects, tattoo, quotes, art, music and video. This pretty much sums up my work and life, and although eclectic I have realised that my aesthetic shines through quite strongly.
