Show us your type - Berlin by Stefan Lucut (aka baubauhaus)
“Show us your type invites graphic designers to make a piece for a theme related with a city. This time was Berlin turn to be interpreted by designers. Here is my version too related to Bauhaus and the German minimal style.”

via // weandthecolor: “#1 in a series of posters for Kubrick films. This is what happens when a friend calls in that one favor that you owe them.”
Two Thousand and One by Brandon Schaefer
“I’ve been creating posters based off of films since I was younger, but most recently dived back into it as a way of forcing myself to try different things without being overly concerned with the consequences. I try to approach each poster with a different idea relative to whatever’s going on in the film, but the beginning is always the same – me, sitting in a chair, doodling in a cheap notebook.”

Daily Herald Poster by E McKnight Kauffer
“Described as the ‘finest invention of his career’ this poster, which was inspired by the Vortisist movement, confirmed E McKnight Kauffer’s place as the most original graphic designer working in Britain during the early 20th Century. The design was bought by the Daily Herald in 1919, and used to convey the aspirations of this new radical Labour newspaper. Sir Francis Meynell, who organised the brilliant campaign, described the poster as ‘a flight of birds that might almost be a flight of aeroplanes; a symbol, in those days of hope, of the unity of useful invention and natural things’ “ Auction estimate 13 May 2010: £20,000 - £30,000

Ben Crick is a Visual Communications Student in his fourth and final year at the University of Technology Sydney. “I love all styles of design, and iv tried my hand at as many of them as I can. I think as a designer it is our job to be able to adapt styles and be as versatile as possible. I like to think of it as developing my bag of tricks.”
