4th Biennial of Slovene Visual Communications via Behance Network
“The Biennial of Visual Communications which is organized by the Brumen Foundation represents the main festival event in this field in Slovenia. The corporate identity of the festival includes mostly printed media such as: call for entries form, posters, the event’s catalogue, advertisements, exhibition design, etc…
When creating corporate identity for the event, we used the idea of dots which make the logo of the Brumen Foundation. Traditionally, however, the dot symbol had been used in creating identities of the previous three biennial events. For a starting point we used Christian Schwartz’s font Stag. He’s dot font, the Stag Bold Dot size 63PT was used as the basic pattern for creating various illustrations in three colours - white, black and silver. Each illustration represents individual category of design works (typography, banner, corporate identity, interactive design…). Each design work of the corporate identity of the 4th Biennial of Slovene Visual Communications is represented using corresponding illustration. We constructed an extensive system of various images linked by uniform style.”

I love the pixel & prism inspired art for the latest Shimano ad created by REAKT, a design collective in Chicago.

“Shimano has been in the cycling game for centuries. Their products have been trusted by athletes because of their performance and durability. Reakt was hired to develop a print campaign that would target a younger and more progressive rider within their mountain bike division. The campaign was focused not only on the reputation of great products but also about the riders themselves. This campaign is about riders in the spotlight and their individual styles shining through. With a combination of action/lifestyle photography and illustrative artwork, Shimano is broadening their demographic to newer younger riders. Check out the ads every month at Decline Magazine.”

New Design Generation brand uses a typeface made from the isometric perspective grid that is one of my favourite tools for drawing. Via Behance network.
The City of Melbourne brand also used this grid for the basis of the ‘M’.

Via Behance Network :: City of Melbourne branding project… a single letter treatment that makes Auckland’s own version look like a mess, which it quite literally is.

And for reference the Auckland equivalent…
